Summary

The poultry Farm Manager is responsible for both genetic potential and consistent flock production. The Job holder will be responsible the Layers (broilers and breeders) to ensure good management programme in place.

Ensuring all aspects of running the farm are met
In charge of Hatchery operation and Sanitation
Maintaining safe working practices
Managing and motivating a team
Ensuring welfare of livestock, vaccinations and health care
Ventilation and feed management
Production performance
Record keep

MIN QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor's Degree/HND
DESIRED COURSES:

• Animal Science • Poultry Science • Veterinary Science • Animal Production • Health Sciences • Animal Nutrition • Agricultural Business • Production • Business Management • Finance
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Animal or Poultry Science, Veterinary science, Animal Production and Health Science or Animal Nutrition.
Degree in Business Management, Finance, Agribusiness, Production, or related subject is a plus.
Experience of 2+ years in a managerial position in a poultry farming company.
Knowledgeable with the regulatory bodies regarding poultry farming and value addition.
Requirements:

Effective people management skills
Ability to carry out manual duties
Proficient computer skills
Experience in Poultry breeding and other Poultry stockmanship
Knowledge of Nutrition and diet formulation
Proficiency in food safety and quality assurance
Knowledge of Environmental management
